Individual Learning Modules
Individual Learning Modules (ILMs) are standardized training materials for instructors and students in apprenticeship trades and technical training courses. These modules are based on Alberta's apprenticeship curriculum guides and provide apprentices with standardized learning materials that are current and meet industry standards in Alberta. An apprenticeship education blends hands-on work experience with classroom learning, and ILMs are an excellent resource to supplement and support the classroom learning component required to gain journeyperson certification.
To learn more about Alberta's apprenticeship system, please visit Alberta's Apprenticeship and Industry Training (AIT) website, where you can also find the detailed AIT curriculum guides to which ILM content is aligned.
As part of the ILM continuous improvement model, ILMs are regulary updated through a content maintenance and peer-review cycle. Instructors and students are encouraged to provide feedback on modules here: Submit comments
Please see the Product List section below for a full listing of all ILMs available across 15 different trades.
